After a long drive and an even longer hike we arrived to the entrance of a breathtaking slot canyon. To get deep into the canyon there was a boulder with a massive drop we needed to cross. A recent flood removed the makeshift ladder that would make this possible, leaving us unable to continue.
We turned around and took a different route. This detour led us to where most of the photos were taken, which were some of the most stunning views I encountered during my trip to Utah. Looking back, we were bestowed with a change of plans that worked magically in our favor. As much as one plans, sometimes when you trust the unexpected, you can be delightfully surprised.
